The ProFiestas Patrias Committee is dedicated to promoting culture, leadership, and public service in Joliet's Hispanic community.  These values are celebrated every year when we commemorate Mexican Independence in our city streets.  Our Committee is proudly colaborating with Unidos Marketing Network and the Latino Business Asscociation (an affiliate of the Joliet Chamber of Commerce) in this year's events which is right around the corner, our 50^th anniversary of our Mexican Independence Day Parade and the 64th anniversary of our Queens.

Our Mexican Independence Parade/Celebration will be Saturday, September 8, 2012 in the City Center.  ‘El Grito de Nuestra Independencia’ and 64th Queen Coronation will take place on stage after the parade at the Van Buren Plaza.  This year the downtown City Center Streets will be closed of for all to enjoy a festive Block Party with our 2nd ‘Mi Gusto Es Festival de Joliet’ starting at 1:00 until 10:00 p.m. in front of the Rialto Theater.
